About chatmozo

chatmozo is a free collection of conversation cards: 17 decks and 1,816 questions for friends, couples, families, first dates, teams, road trips and late nights, plus a new question every day.

Every deck works the same way. It opens with easy questions and works up to the ones people usually save for when they know each other well. Nobody has to answer anything. Passing is part of the game.

Why it exists

Most of us spend a lot of time sitting next to people we love while talking about nothing much. A good question is often all it takes to change that. The cards are here so nobody has to think of one on the spot.

Where the questions come from

We read thousands of questions from lists all over the web, kept only the ones that make a table lean in, reworded a lot of them, and wrote hundreds of our own where the web came up short. The 36 questions deck is the exception: it reproduces the questions from Arthur Aron's 1997 study word for word, with credit to the researchers.

What it isn't

It isn't a social network. There's no account, no feed and no way to meet strangers. You bring the people. chatmozo brings the questions.
