Terms

Last updated 27 September 2026

chatmozo is free to use. These terms are the few things worth saying out loud.

Using the cards

Use them anywhere: at home, on a date, in a classroom, at work, at an event. Share single cards, screenshots and the card images as much as you like; a link back is appreciated but not required.

What we ask you not to do

Questions, not advice

The cards are conversation prompts. They aren't therapy, counselling or advice of any kind. Skip any card you like, for any reason. If a conversation brings up something heavy, it's always fine to stop, and to talk to someone you trust or to a qualified professional.

The 36 questions

The 36 questions deck reproduces the questions from Aron, Melinat, Aron, Vallone and Bator, "The Experimental Generation of Interpersonal Closeness" (1997). The questions are the researchers' work; they're shown here, credited, so people can use them together.

No guarantees

chatmozo is provided as it is. We try hard to keep it working and the questions good, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free, and we may change, add or remove content at any time. As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for how the cards are used or for the conversations that follow.

Changes and contact

If these terms change, the date above will too. Questions: hello@chatmozo.com.
